Orange is a fruit ? Yes, or No.
How about I tell you No, orange is a sweet desert. Shocking!!! India is a place like that, here people mix lot of varieties with one another and keep inventing new items, so it happens also in the food industry, here chefs and cooks always try to make a new dish, try to invent a more tasty food and insert the same in one of the so many different cuisines found in India.



I also tried to fuse something, orange and sweet to make a ORANGE MITHAI (sweet desert). I am going to share the method right away with all of you. Make it and let me know how it tasted. Let's Begin...

Ingredients & Steps to make Orange Mithai:
    orange biscuit
  • Take 6 - 10 orange cream biscuits
Grind them to get a fine powder, keep it aside to be sued later.

Heat up a pan.
  • Add 1 liter full fat cream milk
  • Cook to reduce it to 750ml (25%)
Keep stirring as well.
  • Mix the orange biscuit powder
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
Milk will become little thick.
Keep stirring and cooking.
Once the mixture starts taking form and becomes little thick.
  • Add 1/2 cup sugar or powdered sugar

Cook in medium flame for 10 -12 minutes.
  • Add 1/2 tsp elaichi (cardamon) powder.
  • Add 3 to 4 drops of orange essence
  • Add 3 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
Cook for another 5 minutes.
The mixture will now be looking like a thick slime.
Take it out on a baking tray.
  • Mix 1 orange (fine chopped)
Refrigerate it for minimum 1 hour.



Orange Sweet Desert Mithai Recipe
Orange Mithai is ready to be served.


Garnish with some fine chopped badam (almonds) and pista (pistachio).
