Choco Coffee Mousse - Eggless Recipe

I have always preferred mousse over a cake, if you give me an option to choose between a mousse an a cake, then my choice will always be the mousse. Mousse is much more softer, fluffier and melts in the mouth, quicker than a cake. In case if you do not know, then let me inform you that it is also easier to make a mousse than a cake.

So friends today I share my chocolate coffee mousse or choco coffee mousse recipe with all of you. Let's Begin........


Ingredients and Steps:

  • Take 200 grams of chocolate bar (frozen)
Put it in a mixer grinder and grind it to get chocolate powder.

Heat up a pan with some water. 
When water starts boiling, place a glass bowl in the pan. 
Put the chocolate powder in the glass bowl, to melt.
 
  • Add 1 tsp coffee powder
  • Add 2 - 3 tbsp butter

Once the chocolate melts properly, take out the glass bowl and keep it aside, let the melted chocolate cool down.
 
On the other hand take a mixer grinder.
 
  • Add 1 cup whipping cream (chilled)

Whip the cream for 3 - 5 minutes.

  • Add little chocolate

Mix it in the grinder again.
Take out the mixture in a bowl.

  • Add remaining chocolate
 
Mix while adding the chocolate.
(TIP: If you are using non dairy whipping cream then sugar is not required, but if you plan to use regular dairy whipping cream then make sure to add powdered sugar as per taste, in the chocolate while melting it. Also do remember that the whipping cream should be excellent chilled).

Now take a glass and coat it roughly with some melted chocolate.
Put the whipping cream and chocolate mixture in the glass.
Garnish with liquid chocolate and choco chips on top along with a piece of orange and mint sprig.
