Mayonnaise is a tasty, creamy, thick cheese like sauce. It is generally had as a dip or spread with different kind of breads. It is used in preparation of sandwiches, shawarma and much more.
The main ingredient used to make mayonnaise is oil, sometimes cream and eggs are also added, though we have the vegetarian version also.
Let us see how to make veg, eggless mayonnaise at home. Keep a mixer grinder ready friends..... Let us begin.
- Take 1/4 cup of milk
- Add 1/2 tsp vinegar (or 1 tsp lemon juice)
- Add salt to taste
- Add sugar to balance sourness
- Add 1 tsp garlic paste
- Add 2 pinch of herb (your choice)
- Add 1/4 cup of refine oil
- Put all the items directly in a mixer grinder and mix them once
- You will see a creamy batter
- Add another 1/4 cup of refine oil
- Run the mixer grinder again
- Add 1/4 cup of fresh cream
- Mix it properly for a final time
Note: Add the oil, in proportion as described, adding too much oil at a time may result in ruining the mayonnaise
Store it in refrigerator
It has a self life of 20 to 30 days
Health Advisory: Consumption of too much of mayonnaise is not good for health, it is high on cholesterol and saturated fats.
