Maggi Donuts - Recipe

Hi Friends and Noodle lovers, it has been a while I did not made anything new with noodles and yesterday while having a DONUTS, suddenly it came in my mind of why not if I can can make MAGGI DONUTS. Well, here is the recipe for the tasty, crunchy Maggi donuts. Let's Start.......


Ingredients & Steps: 

Crush 2 regular packets of Maggi, crush them properly to make small pieces.
Heat up a pan. (No oil to be used).

  • Dry fry these crushed Maggi on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown
  • Add 2 tbsp carrot (grated)
  • Add 3 tbsp onion (fine chopped)
  • Add 2 tomatoes (fine chopped)
  • Add 1 tbsp green capsicum (fine chopped)
  • Add 1 tbsp yellow capsicum (fine chopped)
  • Add 1 tbsp red capsicum (fine chopped)
  • Add 1/2 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • Add 3 - 4 green chillies (fine chopped)
  • Add 1/4 cup sweet corns (optional)
  • Add 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Add 3 tbsp cheese (grated - any cheese as per choice)
 
Mix everything very well.
Cook until vegetables gets little roasted and looks soft (Cooking Time: Approx 4 - 6 minutes)
 
  • Add 4 medium size potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed or grated)

Keep gas flame low to medium and Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes.
Mix well, so that everything binds with each other.

  • Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Add 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Add 2 tsp chicken masala
  • Add 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • Add salt as per taste (only if required)
  • Add 2 - 3 packets of Maggi masala powder (masala found with Maggi)

Mix properly, so that all masala (spices) gets evenly mixed with the other ingredients.

  • Add 3 tbsp corn starch (Alternate: maida / rice flour)
  • Add few curry leafs and coriander leaves (fine chopped)

Mix properly, the final mixture will look like a very soft dough. 
Take out the soft mixture in a bowl, let it cool down, in room temperature.
 
Make small balls out of the soft mixture dough.
Press them between your palms and give them donuts shape by making a hole in the middle. 
(TIP: Use a small cylindrical bottle cap or hair oil cap to make holes in the middle. Alternatively, you can make any shape as you want to, we are giving it donuts shape).

Now, once the dough has got a shape, you can bake this maggi donuts in oven or air fryer for 15 - 20 minutes at 180℃, however prefer to fry them in hot oil, as it gives it a more tasty taste and makes it more crispy. So, let us do fry it quickly and enjoy this delicious snack made out of our maggi noodles. 

Take two bowls.
In the first bowl.

  • Add 3 tbsp maida
  • Add 1 tbsp corn flour
  • Add 1/2 cup water

Make a slurry.


In another / second bowl.

Crush 1 packet maggi noodles (fine crush - to get small pieces)

Keep both bowls ready side by side.
Heat up a pan with some oil for frying. Once oil is hot.

  1. Dip the maggi donuts in the slurry
  2. Dip the slurry coated maggi donuts in the bowl with crushed maggi noodles. Coat the donuts properly and evenly on all sides with the crushed maggi noodles.
  3. Fry them in medium flame until golden brown.
